A tragic incident occurred this morning in the Mowe community of Obafemi Owode LGA, Ogun State, where a 3-year-old boy sadly passed away after reportedly eating food that had been contaminated by a wall gecko.

According to reports, the little boy had eaten a meal the night before, and by morning, he was found unresponsive by his mother. Alarmed by his condition, she quickly called for help from neighbors.

One of the neighbors, upon inspecting the kitchen, reportedly discovered a dead wall gecko inside the pot of soup that had been used to prepare the child's dinner. It is believed that the food may have been poisoned due to the presence of the gecko.

Sadly, the boy was confirmed dead before any medical help could arrive..
